• Usually Sesarma spp. (exact species can vary by supplier)

Origin

• Southeast Asia (commonly Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia)
• Found in mangroves, riverbanks, and coastal muddy areas

Appearance

• Small crab with rounded carapace
• Yellow, brown, or olive coloration (banana-like tone)
• Strong front claws for digging and defense
• Size: 2–5 cm (0.8–2 inches) depending on species

Behavior

• Semi-terrestrial (needs land + water)
• Very active and fast
• Shy during daytime, more active at night
• Excellent climber and escape artist
