Appearance

• Intense electric or royal blue metallic scales
• Dark/black base body (common in Avatar line)
• Shimmering effect under light (blue → turquoise → violet tones)
• Short-finned (Plakat type) or Halfmoon Plakat variants
• Compact, strong body shape

👉 The “Avatar” look comes from iridescent layering on dark pigmentation, creating a glowing armor effect.

Temperament

• Territorial (especially males)
• Can be aggressive toward other male bettas
• Generally more active than long-finned show bettas (Plakat type)
• Intelligent and responsive fish
