Tank Requirements

  • Ideal Temperature: 72–79°F (22–26°C)
  • pH Range: 5.5–7.5

  • Temperament: Peaceful — perfect for community tanks. Very social and thrives in groups.

Diet & Nutrition

Omnivorous — feed a mix of:

  • High-quality micro pellets or flakes
  • Frozen/live foods such as daphnia, brine shrimp, bloodworms
  • Occasional vegetable matter (e.g., spirulina flakes)

Feed small amounts once or twice daily.


Breeding & Spawning

  • Breeding Setup: Use a separate tank with soft, slightly acidic water and fine-leaved plants
  • Spawning Conditions: Lower light, temperature around 75°F (24°C)
