Scientific Name

• Hyphessobrycon sweglesi (phantom tetra species)

Origin

• Original species comes from South America (Orinoco River basin)
• Golden form is a tank-bred color morph

Appearance

• Soft golden or amber body color
• Black marking near the gill area (less intense than black phantom)
• Transparent fins with slight tint
• Slightly deeper body than neon-type tetras
• Size: 3–4 cm (1.2–1.6 inches)

Temperament

• Very peaceful
• Schooling fish (keep 6–10+ for best behavior)
• Active mid-water swimmer
• Great for community aquariums
