Scientific Name

• Trigonopoma gracile (often still sold as Rasbora gracilis)

Origin

• Southeast Asia
• Mainly found in Sumatra and parts of Indonesia
• Lives in peat swamps, slow forest streams, and blackwater habitats

Appearance

• Very slender, elongated body
• Silver-transparent base color
• Thin red or orange stripe along the body
• Subtle black line near the lateral area
• Size: around 4–5 cm (1.5–2 inches)

Temperament

• Very peaceful
• Strong schooling fish (keep 8–12+ for natural behavior)
• Shy if kept in small groups
• Ideal for calm community aquariums
