Appearance
- Small crab with a flat, rounded carapace
- Grey to brown coloration (helps camouflage on rocks/sand)
- Strong front claws used for defense and feeding
- Size: typically 3–6 cm (1.2–2.5 inches)
Behavior
- Semi-terrestrial (lives both on land and near water)
- Very fast and active
- Often hides in rocks, burrows, or crevices
- Mostly nocturnal (active at night)
- Can be territorial if crowded
