Appearance

• Black body with horizontal cream/white stripes
• Hard bony armor plates (protection)
• Long whisker-like barbels for sensing food
• Grows up to 15–20 cm (6–8 inches)

Temperament

• Peaceful but shy
• Nocturnal (active at night)
• Best kept with calm community fish
• Can hide during daytime
