• Common Name: Black Sushi Shrimp
• Adult Size: 2.5–3 cm (1–1.2 inches)
• Life Expectancy: 1.5 to 2 years in captivity
• Habitat: Native to freshwater streams and ponds in Taiwan. Prefers areas with plenty of aquatic plants, moss, and biofilm-covered surfaces.

Tank Requirements

• Minimum Tank Size: 10 liters (2.5 gallons) — ideally 20 liters or more for stability and colony growth
• Ideal Temperature: 20–26°C (68–79°F)
• pH Range: 6.5–7.8
• Water Hardness: 4–12 dGH (moderately soft to moderately hard)
• Temperament: Peaceful and social. Best kept in groups of 6+ and can cohabitate with other non-aggressive shrimp or nano fish.
