Species Profile
- Scientific Name: Aulonocara nyassae
- Common Name: Five Color Cichlid
- Adult Size: 4–6 inches (10–15 cm)
- Life Expectancy: 6–10 years with proper care
- Habitat: Originates from Lake Malawi, Africa. In the wild, they inhabit sandy substrates near rocky outcrops in clear, warm, alkaline water. The “Five Color” variety is a captive-bred hybrid, not naturally found in the lake.
