- Common Name: Livingston's Cichlid, Living Cichlid

- Habitat: Native to Lake Malawi, Africa; prefers shallow, sandy-bottomed areas with scattered rocks and vegetation. Often found near the lakebed where it can employ its ambush hunting strategy.
